There are also be a number of Workshops which will be held at the Super Market for adults and children, these will act as taster sessions to help Glasgow get creative.

Kelly Conway from The Glasgow Markets says 'There is a an abundance of creative and retail talent in Scotland and Super Market presents this to you all under one ‘arch’ in a fun, friendly and fresh way. We have worked very hard over the past year to select the best of the best in small retail, designers and independent retail and we are very excited about to bring this on a regular basis to Glasgow.'

The idea behind Super Market is to give the people of Glasgow a space to enjoy and buy from Independent retailers on a regular basis, items they wouldn’t usually find on the high street. People are generally becoming more aware and conscious about how the products they consume are made and where they spend their money and we want to make it as easy as possible for people to spend independently. Our traders pride themselves on the quality on their produce but also about encouraging repeat customers, with many offering Market day discounts.

We are also working hard with partners across the city to encourage young creatives to get involved in the market, and also offering space at the market to people from backgrounds that make it difficult for them to start in business, encouraging them to consider a market stall as the start of their small business journey.’
